Indonesia angat mendukung Ekonomi Hijau dalam dalam ekonomi global, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan (KSP) Moeldoko menekankan komitmen Indonesia untuk mendukung ekonomi hijau (green economy) dan lingkungan hidup yang berkelanjutan sesuai dengan keinginan global.
Kepala Staf juga menekankan bahwa prinsip ekonomi hijau akan menjadi salah satu prioritas Presidensi G20 Indonesia tahun 2022.
Dubes Uni Eropa Vincent Piket pun mengapresiasi langkah baik Indonesia ini, terutama karena kebijakan pro-lingkungan ini sejalan dengan visi Uni Eropa.
Sebagai informasi, pada bulan Maret 2019 lalu, Komisi Uni Eropa telah meloloskan aturan pelaksanaan atas Renewable Energy Directive/RED II. Dalam dokumen tersebut, Komisi Uni Eropa menyimpulkan kelapa sawit (Crude Palm Oil/CPO) mengakibatkan deforestasi besar-besaran secara global dan tidak mengategorikan CPO sebagai bahan baku produksi biofuel.
Indonesia akan bekerja sama antara Uni Eropa. Hal tersebut disampaikan Moeldoko dalam pertemuannya dengan Duta Besar Uni Eropa untuk Indonesia Vincent Piket di Gedung Bina Graha, Jakarta, Rabu, yang membicarakan tentang Kerja Sama Ekonomi antara Indonesia-Uni Eropa.
“Kita selalu tekankan bagaimana kita bisa memahami keinginan global terhadap keberlangsungan lingkungan hidup, mencapai standar-standar bekerja baik dan aman, serta penghargaan terhadap masyarakat lokal,” kata Moeldoko sebagaimana siaran pers KSP di Jakarta, Rabu. (henry/netty/postb/ant)
