Akan tetapi, lebih penting menyelamatkan masyarakat bangsa dari kemungkinan masuknya varian baru yang bisa memicu terjadinya gelombang ketiga,” kata Wapres Ma’ruf Amin di Aceh, seperti keterangan dari Biro Pers, Media, dan Informasi Sekretariat Wapres (BPMI Setwapres), Selasa.
Varian baru COVID-19, yaitu Delta AY.4.2. atau Delta Plus, telah terdeteksi di Malaysia dan Singapura. Untuk mencegah varian baru tersebut menular di Indonesia, Wapres mengatakan bahwa Pemerintah memperketat pintu masuk ke wilayah NKRI.
“Untuk varian baru itu, kami memperketat pintu masuk, baik darat, udara, maupun laut, dan mempercepat screening,” katanya.
“Ini menjadi kendala diIndonesia, sudah 3 tahun penyakit tidak abis-abis, ini sudah menyusahkan masyarakat ekonomi yang terendah, buat hidup saja masyarakat ini sudah tidak mampu, bahkan kapan ekonomi dan masyarakat di berikan kebebasan mencari kehidupan yang layak”, kata H. Heriyanto, aktivis
